subtle herbs and lots of summer fruits to the fore.

Bright straw-yellow in colour with a hint of green. Aromas of
ripe fruit, toast and white flowers. Smooth and lush on the palate.

Chardonnay vdp 2005
A super quality chardonnay from the South of France. Lots of butter
and vanilla here on both the nose and the palate. Very clean and
refreshing with a lovely crisp aftertaste.
Domaine Montintin
Sauvignon Blanc 2005
From the Sancerre region, this sauvignon is very clean, crisp
and fresh. Ideal with mild fish and subtle sauces, or on its own
as an aperitif.
Domaine de Jean Pierre
Chablis 2005
Excellent quality Chablis here with its soft, almost honey-like
nose. Rich and creamy on the palate showing the true characteristics
of a good Chablis.
Pinot Grigio, Italy
Fossaluzza 2005
Probably Italy’s most known white grape.
This has very mild hints of tropical fruits both on the nose and
on the palate. Very easy drinking with slight hints of spices
on the follow-through.

Viognier 2004
Classic Viognier from the Pays d’Oc in France. Slightly
sweet on the nose with hints of honey. On the palate this is rich
and creamy and could almost be mistaken for a light dessert wine.
Forrest Riesling, Marlborough
New Zealand 2003
This is classic New World Riesling with its dry, steely texture.
Lots of minerality with slight spicy tones at the end. This is
a fine example of classic winemaking.
Muscadet Sur Lie
Domaine la Morinière 2004
Gentle hints of exotic fruits and minerality on the nose. This
has a mild concentration and a slightly green grass effect on
the palate. This would make a lovely partner to smoked fish.
Brampton’s Sauvignon Blanc
South Africa 2006
Massive amounts of wild gooseberries here. This wine a lots of
personality and is very forward. Very powerful on the palate and
the aftertaste goes on for ever. Very much a food wine.
Sancerre
Domaine Franck Millet 2005
Well-made Sauvignon Blanc from one of Sancerre’s
better producers. Wild flower tones on the nose with more steely,
robust flavours on the palate. Very clean with good concentration.

Smooth, rich yet gentle Cabernet fruits here. A mixture of both
black currants and red currants with a little spice aswell. Very
clean on the palate with good after taste flavours.

Excellent fruity Merlot, ripe with a touch
of Pepper, Blackberry nose and flavour.
Beautifully made, a chunky Merlot.

Tradition 2005
As minervois wines go this is very soft and gentle with persistent
fruit levels to the fore. Hints of chocolate and spices giving it
real presence. A Southern French special and a genuine revelation.
Domaine de la Chapelle des Bois
Fleurie AC 2004
Fruity and floral aromas that include violet, Blackcurrant and small
red fruits make this wine the perfect match for meat, poultry &
cheese. Velvety tannins give it a lovely soft feel.

This is a bit special. Really great concentration of rich tannin
and soft red currants. Lovely poise and finesse here and yet not
overpowering on the palate. Almost jam like and quite herbaceous.
Excellent intensity.

Argentina
From the Mendoza Valley, this blended wine is a deep ruby red with
great aromas of ripe red fruits. On the palate it is robust and
concentrated yet offering soft, mellow fruits and a refreshing finish.
Bardolino, Monte del Fra 2004
Italy
Medium colour with mild spices on the nose. On the palate this has
very soft fruity tannins with a little concentration. A gentle introduction
to Italian red wine.
Finca Antigua, Tempranillo
La Mancha Spain 2004
This is a wonderful example of the Tempranillo grape from the La
Mancha region. Deep red
in colour with a mildly oaky nose. This has super concentration
and richness of fruit
offering gentle spices at the same time. This is a wonderful mouthful
and has a terrific after taste.
Trentham Merlot 2005
Western Australia
Classic merlot with its soft, gentle, fruity nose which carries
on to the palate. Very warming and yet crisp and clean. Would make
an excellent combination with most red meats.
Forest Pinot Noir, Marlborough
New Zealand 2002
New Zealand Pinot Noir is becoming renowned and this offers real
quality. Power and richness on both the nose and palate are its
characteristics. Lots of black fruit, almost cassis like. Great
personality. Terrific with Pies and Stews.
William’s Well Shiraz
South Australia 2006
Beautifully soft black cherries on the nose. Great fruit intensity
and subtleness on the palate. For a Shiraz this is really gentle,
almost port-like. A very smooth drink.
Ontanon - Crianza 2004
Rioja
Classic Rioja, bramble, fruit & soft spices mixed with hints
of Oak. The palate is full of fleshy ripe flavours, a firm slightly
Oaky middle with stylish length and excellent ballance.
